Delivery & tracking
How long does delivery take and what does it cost?
We usually dispatch within 1–2 working days. UK mainland delivery typically takes 3–5 working days after dispatch. Free delivery applies on orders over £50. You’ll get a tracking email when your parcel ships. See Delivery for details.
Do you deliver to Northern Ireland, Highlands and islands?
We ship across the UK. Some remote postcodes may take a day or two longer or incur a small surcharge — email hello@gametown.uk with your postcode if unsure.
How can I track my order?
When your parcel ships you’ll receive an email with the carrier tracking link. If anything looks wrong, contact us via Contact.
What if my parcel arrives damaged or incomplete?
Contact us within 48 hours with photos of the packaging and contents to hello@gametown.uk. We’ll sort a replacement, refund or other fair outcome under our Terms of sale.
Products & condition
Are pre-owned games and consoles tested?
Yes. Every game and console is checked (play/read, overall condition, accessories as listed). Condition is described on the product page — box, inserts, labels — so you know what you’re buying.
How does warranty work on retro hardware?
Your statutory rights under UK law apply to faulty or misdescribed goods. We also explain condition clearly on each listing. More on Warranty.
Are games PAL / UK-compatible?
Where region or language matters (PAL/NTSC, cartridge region), we state it on the product page. If you’re buying a gift and aren’t sure, ask us before you order.
How do you pack fragile items?
We use bubble wrap, void fill and sturdy boxes. Boxed games and consoles are packed to minimise movement and reduce the chance of damage in transit.
Orders & returns
Can I return something if I change my mind?
UK consumers often have 14 days to cancel many online purchases. Items should be returned unused where possible and as described in our Refunds & returns policy.
Can I collect locally?
We’re primarily a mail-order service. If local collection is ever available for an item, we’ll say so on the product page or by email.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
Yes — add a note at checkout if you’d like gift-style packaging or a discreet outer box. We’ll do our best for birthdays and surprises.
Payments & pricing
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard and PayPal. Payments are processed securely; we don’t store your full card details on our servers.
Do prices include VAT?
Prices on the site are shown including UK VAT where applicable. Your checkout summary shows the total before you pay.
Are there promo codes besides WELCOME15?
WELCOME15 applies to first orders as set out on Promotions. We may run other offers by email — subscribe to the newsletter in the footer.
Can I get a VAT invoice for a business?
Yes. Put your company details in the order comments or email hello@gametown.uk with your order number and we’ll send a suitable invoice after payment.
